Inhouse SMART Professional Development

Whether you are a novice SMART Board user or a seasoned veteran, our in-house SMART PD sessions provide teachers with the opportunity to learn in our technology rich classrooms.

All professional development courses are held at our state of the art facility in Mississauga. Class sizes are limited to seven participants and every attendee uses an exclusive SMART Board and a laptop. This unique feature lets every student experience the SMART Board first-hand, and to experiment with new techniques.

Instructional and Hands-on training

Experienced educators, who hold degrees from Ontario Faculties of Education, lead full-day classes that are a combination of instruction and hands-on learning. We introduce concepts and features in a systematic way and give participants time to work with the tools on a SMART Board while experimenting with ways to integrate that feature in their classroom. For a relevant learning experience, our SMART certified 'MASTER TRAINERS' have extensive teaching experience with K-12 students.

In-house SMART professional development sessions provide a positive learning environment where teachers can experiment while having access to expert SMART educators.

Our in-house offerings include:

Professional Development Series

One SMART Board and one Laptop per participant

Class sizes are limited to seven participants. With 7 SMART Boards in the classroom, this course will offer a SMART Board ratio of 1:1. Computers will be provided and the workshop will alternate between instructional and hands-on. This unique feature lets every student experience the SMART Board first-hand, and to experiment with new techniques. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptop to make notes if they have one. Computers are provided on a 1:1 ratio.
Please note that for the Quebec/Ottawa courses, SMART Boards and computers will be provided on a 3:1 ratio. Classes in Quebec/Ottawa are limited to 20 people.


Course Recommendations

  • 100 series courses are open and do not require any previous knowledge or experience
  • We recommend that users complete a 100 series course before enrolling in a 200 series course
  • We recommend that users complete a 200 series course before enrolling in a 300 series course

Full day session: $295 + taxes per person
Half day session: $110 + taxes per person
