In-house SMART Professional Development

Whether you are a novice SMART Board user or a seasoned veteran, our in-house SMART PD sessions provide teachers with the opportunity to learn in our technology rich classrooms.

Professional development courses are held in our state-of-the-art facilities in Mississauga, Ottawa, Sudbury and London. Our decision to have a small class size is based on teacher desire for hands-on learning where they can experiment without the pressures of a normal day. Attendees have use of the SMART Board and a laptop during the course. This unique feature enables all attendees to experience the SMART Board firsthand, and to experiment with new techniques.

Instructional and Hands-on training

Experienced educators, who hold degrees from Ontario Faculties of Education, lead full-day classes that are a combination of instruction and hands-on learning. We introduce concepts and features in a systematic way and give participants time to work with the tools on a SMART Board while experimenting with ways to integrate that feature in their classroom. For a relevant learning experience, our SMART certified 'MASTER TRAINERS' have extensive teaching experience with K-12 students.

In-house SMART professional development sessions provide a positive learning environment where teachers can experiment while having access to expert SMART educators.

Course Recommendations

  • 100 series courses are open and do not require any previous knowledge or experience
  • We recommend that users complete a 100 series course before enrolling in a 200 series course
  • We recommend that users complete a 200 series course before enrolling in a 300 series course

Costs

Courses are limited to seven people per session in Mississauga and to eight people in Ottawa, Sudbury and London.
Full day session: $295 + taxes per person
Half day session: $110 + taxes per person
Discounts for 4 or more attendees. (All major credit cards are accepted)
