SMART Boards for Grade 7 -8 educators is intended for educators who are interested in and ready to develop original lessons and activities for their students.


Course Description

SMART Boards for grade 7-8 educators is designed for those who are ready to develop interactive hands-on resources for their classroom. Our dynamic SMART Board session will help you to re-purpose existing lessons while sparking many new ideas for unique and creative hands-on classroom activities. Participants should be ready to extend their SMART board and SMART Notebook use beyond the basic tools to develop original and engaging resources. Bring existing resources you want to enhance for use on the SMART Board.

By the end of SMART Board – Intermediate Educators participants will be able to:

  • Creating dynamic lessons and activities that address different learning styles
  • Integrate exploration of the natural world with classroom technology and the Ontario curriculum
  • Use real-world examples to develop and extend literacy and numeracy skills
  • Reduce planning time and organizing resources with SMART Notebook software
  • Incorporate multimedia, including images and sound into SMART notebook lessons
  • Reduce workload and planning time organizing Notebook content for re-use


Costs

$295 + gst per person + applicable taxes
Discounts for 5 or more attendees. (All major credit cards are accepted)
Courses are limited to 7 people per session.
