Software for Collaborative Learning - SMART Sync

SMART Sync has a practical set of features that enable smooth transitions between individual, small group and whole class activities, helping you make the most of class time.

This classroom management software lets you view student screens on your computer desktop, making it easy to monitor their activities and provide guidance and support throughout the lesson.

With SMART Sync, you can interact with your students as a group or individually to keep them engaged and focused.

Help students stay on track

Sometimes students can get distracted by the temptations of the digital world. Now you can help them stay on course. SMART Sync allows you to choose which websites and applications your students have access to, and if you need to get everyone's attention, you can lock all student computer screens with the push of a button.

Enable collaboration

With SMART Sync, you can organize small groups of students and guide their process of collaboration, while still maintaining whole-class instruction. With this software, it's easy to promote individual, small-group and whole-class learning in a single lesson.

Provide direct support

In every class, there are always a few students who are too shy to ask for help. With SMART Sync, you can communicate privately to individual students or groups, and guide them through a task or problem.

A Unique solution for special needs students

SMART Sync™ is a software application that provides teachers with tools to meet the requirements of low vision and special needs students. With a single click, teachers can share the image on their computer with special needs students who have their own computers. In the case of low vision students, they are able to use third party software to magnify, resize and otherwise manipulate the image in a way that supports their needs. Teachers can also limit distractions and support students with attention challenges in a computer environment.

SMART Sync can be useful for all learners but is a necessity for many special needs students.
Learn why:

  • Teach a new concept or skill by broadcasting the teacher’s computer screen to one or more student computers, with the ability to differentiate the content and process for low vision students. Students will be able to magnify and manipulate the information on the screen, making it more visible and easier to understand.
  • Open files, websites, and applications on student computers. This means more learning time will be put back into the class. Students will be able to focus on the required task rather than spending time searching for applications and files.
  • Let students interact with the SMART board or computer application from their computer. Students can now interact with images, text and software without having to come to the front of the classroom.
  • Students can use the "Question" option to communicate with the teacher. Students who are too shy to ask questions in class can ask for help or suggest an idea in a direct message to the teacher only.
  • Poll students with the polling option. This enables a teacher to find out instantly if students understand a concept.
  • Take control of a student’s computer. Teachers will provide one to one support for students without having to crowd into the student's work space.
