Peel District School Board

The Project

Document Camera Experts (DCE), a division of Advanced Presentation Products, met with Peel District School Board to find out what their needs were, in regards to implementing document cameras across the board.

Our expert team at DCE, in conjunction with representatives from the manufacturers, provided their expertise and inputs to suggest a model from AVerMedia to suit their needs. DCE provided demonstration models to Peel District for thorough testing and comparison with other models they had previously purchased. The District was also able to test many document camera accessories, such as microscope adapters for their science / lab use.

DCE also presented Peel District with an easy turnaround repair solution, in case their document cameras had to be repaired. This allowed for as little down time as possible for their teachers.

The District made a decision towards the model suggested by DCE and is now implementing document cameras across their entire board, from elementary schools to high schools.

The document cameras currently are being used on a variety of purposes: literacy in primary schools, presentations, science classes (with the use of the microscope), math classes and many others.

The District has reported to be pleased with the product and overall technology solution, which is helping their teachers deliver their lessons to more engaged students. For more information on document cameras, please visit www.documentcameraexperts.ca.
