Crestwood School

The Project

Advanced Presentation Solutions (APS) was responsible for the most of the AV installation for Crestwood School. The majority of the classrooms have been outfitted with a SMART Board with integrated projector and speakers (680i Gen 2 model).

Crestwood started off by having 6 of these systems installed in 2008. The response was so overwhelming by the teachers and students that plans were immediately put in place to install 15 more systems and these were put in later that same year.

Because the school is focused on the lower grade levels and younger students, these students are, on average, shorter than those in the senior or high schools. Because of this fact, to make the technology more accessible to the shorter children, 5 of these new systems were installed with special counter-balanced height adjustable wall mounts. These permit the whole SMART Board and projector assembly to rise and fall up to 20” to accommodate users of all heights.

In all, over 21 classrooms have been installed with high end teaching technology, providing Crestwood educators with the most updated tools to teach and engage their students.
