About York University

York University is a dynamic, interdisciplinary academic community of researchers, teachers, graduate and undergraduate students from over 155 countries. York offers full and part-time graduate and undergraduate degree programs to over 50,000 students in faculties. The Project

Advanced Education is partnering with a PhD student in psychology at York University, who is planning to do her dissertation on the use of a SmartBoard in combination with IntelliTools ClassroomSuite 4 for adolescents with mental health issues (and ensuing behavioral and academic problems) who are in tertiary care treatment.

The student has received York University ethics approval and is about to receive ethics approval at Thistletown Regional Centre, Toronto (of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services), from where she asked to be granted access to the adolescents receiving services there.

Advanced Education is pleased to be able to support this initiative as the results will provide our community with a better understanding of how to successfully deal with the mental health issues that plague adolescents.
